A CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
WE WELCOME HELP IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
Programming: Dance, cooking, art, gardening--these are activities in which the kids have expressed an interest, but if you have other talents to share, let us know! The ideal class times are 3:30-4:30/5:00, weekdays.
Classroom assistance: Homework help is always needed! Key areas of focus: reading, spelling, and math.
Odd jobs/maintenance: There are always things at the Center that need to be organized, fixed, cleaned, or painted...if you want to lend your support, but don't necessarily see yourself working 1:1 with the kids, this is also an area of demonstrated need.
Donor relations: Providing stewardship to our generous donors takes time away from the kids, but it's vital to the well-being of our organization. If you are a good thank-you-note writer, and have a few free hours each month to volunteer remotely, give us a call.
Grant writing: If this is your specialty, boy could we use your help! The Determination Center meets the criteria for many local & national grants, but we need a volunteer to do the research, find the appropriate grant opportunities, and then craft compelling narratives.
Snacks/meals: We have growing kids with big appetites! Breakfast, snack, dinner items are always welcome and very much needed.
